The treatment suits horses who are suffering from respiratory or skin conditions. It is ideal for the ‘warrior’ style horse that competes on a regular basis and is useful for both pre and post racing. Additionally, we often see great results in older horses who may be suffering from depletion in mineral salts and rejuvenation of the cells that are lost in their day to day workloads. The Salt Chamber is suitable for horses with allergies, skin conditions, respiratory
issues, and to improve lung capacity in equine athletes. Salt therapy uses
salt particles so microscopic that they reach the lower respiratory tract and
clear foreign elements, thereby reducing inflammation, mucus, and restrictive
breathing and allow for improved lung function.
Salt also normalises the PH levels of the skin by absorbing into the natural oils of
the epidermis and provides anti-bacterial properties, therefore preventing the
development of irritating skin conditions.
